Demonstration scenario

What the demo simulates, and how it is kept apart from the real data.

Three days of vouchers cannot establish stock on hand, debtor ageing, reservation status or demand history. To show what the platform does once that data exists, a repeatable scenario (seed 20261003, generator 2.0.2) is built around the real data and stored in its own table. It never changes an actual figure: actual analytics do not read it, and the banner under the top bar shows whenever it is on.

SimulatedWhat the scenario holdsBecomes live with

What to show
  1. 1
A regular customer is buying lessAED 602K

SAIF & SA-AD bought AED 133K a month over the last three months against AED 334K in the nine before, 60% less.

  2. 2
A large bill is long overdueAED 226K

DNIT owes AED 226K on DEMO-INV-4159, 109 days past due, and has AED 886K of new orders not yet invoiced.

  3. 3
An order we cannot fill from stockAED 62K

Order SOOFF-2026-3042 for ALI NAJIM ABDULLA HUSSAIN needs 4,983 pcs of Zumurd 100ml; stock on hand is 2,256 pcs short of the open orders for it.

  4. 4
A product is taking offAED 58K

Kenzie Marshmallow Dream 25ml sold 94% more a month over the last three months than the nine before, 12 customers ordered or bought it in the window, and stock after open orders covers about 10 days against a 21-day lead time.

  5. 5
Stock that has stopped sellingAED 167K

2 Lattafa perfumes hold AED 167K at cost in lots two to four years old with no sale for seven months, yet 4,800 more pcs were received in the window; 56 customers in the data buy perfumes.

  6. 6
Ramadan is coming: stock up in time

Ramadan starts about 8 Feb 2027, 128 days away; last year it lifted sales 24% above the other months, so 60-day lines must be ordered by 19 Nov 2026 to be on the shelf 21 days ahead.

Safeguards
  • Stored in a separate table, never alongside source records.
  • Actual figures are identical with the scenario on or off (covered by a test).
  • The top-bar switch and the banner under it show the mode on every page; demo documents are prefixed DEMO-.
  • Real customer and product names are used so the demo feels familiar; their simulated balances are not facts.
Shelf-life registry (scenario)

  • Attars & oils48 months
  • Air fresheners36 months
  • Deodorants30 months

Expiry is always shown as estimated: receipt date plus shelf life, first in, first out. Not a manufacturer date.
